About
Philosopher, wisdom-literature researcher, and coach with 8+ years translating ancient wisdom into modern guidance.
Background
Malik has spent over a decade deep in ancient philosophy, comparative mythology, and wisdom traditions ranging from the Bible to the Bhagavad Gita — Stoicism, Platonism, esotericism, epic and scriptural literature — and turning it into something a coaching client can actually use: specific techniques for reasoning through a hard decision, not history lessons.
He's formally trained in philosophy, with a specialisation in the nature of suffering, and has completed extensive coursework in psychology. He's spent eight years working as a philosophy tutor, coaching clients ranging from high-profile individuals to students just beginning their own study. For the past three years he has lectured in comparative mythology and ancient philosophy, and runs frequent public talks, workshops, and study groups — including sessions for the Tarot Guild of Australia and ongoing online debates hosted with Young Theosophists Australia. He's an active member of the Theosophical Society in Perth.
In practice, that means reading a Stoic idea about control next to a Mahabharata passage about duty, and testing which one actually helps when you're sitting across from someone mid-decision. It means having several different techniques for the same underlying problem — indecision, dread, a loss of direction — and knowing which one fits the person in front of you.
That's the job: not lecturing on philosophy, but sitting with someone in the middle of a career change, a decision that matters, or a stretch where nothing feels clear, and handing them the specific tool that gets them moving again.
