The Approach
Not a personality, not a vibe — a specific method for taking the problem in front of you and placing it inside what centuries of philosophy, wisdom literature, and psychology have already worked out about it.
The Core Idea
Most of what humanity has worked out about hard decisions, loss of direction, and difficult trade-offs already exists. It's just buried — inside dense philosophical texts written for scholars, inside religious and wisdom traditions most people will never read end to end, inside psychological research locked behind academic language. Nobody has time to read all of it, let alone cross-reference it against the specific problem they're actually facing.
Classical Wisdom Life Coaching is that cross-referencing, already done. You bring the real situation — a decision, a stuck point, a loss of direction — and Malik places it inside what Stoic philosophy says about exactly this kind of uncertainty, what a given wisdom tradition says about this feeling, what centuries of ethical and psychological thinking say about this exact trade-off. Not a reading list. Not vague inspiration. The relevant answer, translated into something you can actually use.
What It Draws On
Every technique used in a session is anchored to a real source — not improvised in the room. Malik's own study spans four areas, built over a decade of research, tutoring, and running workshops and study groups.
The core toolkit: reasoning through what's in your control versus what isn't, examining your own assumptions rather than accepting them at face value, and building the discipline to act instead of ruminate.
From the Bible to the Bhagavad Gita — texts studied across traditions not as doctrine, but as evidence of how different cultures reasoned through the same core human problems: loss, direction, suffering, meaning.
Years spent researching and running workshops on symbolic and esoteric traditions — including through the Tarot Guild of Australia and the Theosophical Society of Perth — systems built specifically to reason through internal, non-obvious problems.
Formal coursework in psychology, layered underneath the philosophy — grounding it in how the mind actually processes decisions and distress, not just how it should in theory.
In Practice
No pre-reading, no framework to learn first. The method happens in the room, not before it.
You describe what's actually going on — the decision, the block, the thing keeping you stuck. No jargon required, no prior philosophy knowledge assumed.
Malik locates your situation inside the relevant tradition or traditions — where this exact kind of problem has already been reasoned through, sometimes for centuries.
A specific technique or way of thinking, translated into something usable on your actual problem — not a general summary of what a philosopher or text said.
In Short
This isn't clinical treatment, and it isn't a spiritual practice either — traditions are studied here as evidence of how people have reasoned through hard problems, not as belief systems you're asked to adopt. It's also not generic coaching improvised in the room. Every technique is anchored to a specific philosophical or wisdom-tradition source, and every source is chosen because it's actually relevant to what you're facing — not because it sounds impressive.
